Storm Debris Cleanup Update

Greetings Neighbors,

Following up on an e-mail and blog post we sent right after hurricane Milton, we have been attempting to get proposals for storm debris cleanup from 3rd party contractors. Of the 4 requests we made, none have come back with a quote. These contractors also state it could be weeks before they get to us due to high demand.

Hillsborough County recently posted an update with maps of areas in progress. Our community is scheduled to be cleaned up by November 17th. Considering this, we will not pursue further estimates as the county may reach us before a contractor is able. If you would like to monitor the cleanup progress and other helpful information, use the links attached.

The county did come through this afternoon, but only picked up bagged yard waste, not any of the cans. I spoke to the driver and he said this was by directive of the county based on where they would be depositing the waste. He stated they will come back thru next week and take anything in cans.
